The Scuba S1 on a cleaning cycle

Staring at your backyard plumbing lines and feeling overwhelmed? You aren’t alone.

A pool equipment pad with lots of pipes

When you buy a home with a pool or build one in your backyard, nobody hands you an instruction manual. Are you are tired of:

  • The Fear Factor: Worrying that turning the wrong valve will burn out your heater or blow up a pump.
  • The Pool Store Trap: Getting conflicting advice and walking out with $200 of chemical buckets every Saturday.
  • The Guesswork: Struggling to understand pool chemistry or why your water is suddenly cloudy.

There’s a better way! You can easily manage your own pool, save thousands of dollars a year, and have safer, cleaner water.

Going Back to “Pool School”

This is a private 90 minute consultation at your home. We walk your deck, label your equipment, and strip away the confusion.

1

Equipment & Valve Mapping

We will walk your equipment pad together. I will physically label your plumbing lines (Skimmer, Main Drain, Returns, Backwash) with waterproof markers so you know exactly what every valve does, how to clean your baskets, and how to operate your filter safely.

2

The Unbiased Chemistry Masterclass

We will sit on your deck and run a professional drop test kit together. You’ll learn the real relationship between pH, total alkalinity, and free chlorine. No pool store jargon, just the simple facts chemistry.

3

The 15-Minute Weekly Routine

I will hand you a customized, dead-simple weekly calendar tailored to your specific pool size and equipment. You’ll know exactly what to check, when to check, and how to keep your pool pristine each week.

4

The Gimmick-Free Shopping List

Get a direct digital list of the exact tools, test kits, and hardware store basics to buy. You’ll never get talked into buying overpriced pool store “magic potions” again.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. I am strictly a consultant and educator. Because I don’t sell recurring maintenance services, my advice is 100% unbiased. I teach you how to handle the daily and weekly care seamlessly.

I do not perform physical repairs. This is a teaching on chemistry, equipment operation, and maintenance strategy. If you have a leaky pump, a cracked heater, or structural surface damage, those require a licensed repair technician or contractor.

To ensure we can provide the dedicated, high-quality focus every homeowner deserves, I generally limit travel to Westchester and Putnam Counties. Regardless, feel free to reach out! If you are outside the area, a flat $50 travel fee is added to cover the extra time and tolls. If we can’t make the travel work, we’ll do our best to point you toward some great online resources on our site!

You don’t need anything for our session. I will bring a Taylor K2006 kit for a demonstration. After our meeting, I’ll provide links to the exact, budget-friendly tools you’ll actually need.
